Westside VW has a steady stream of customers who choose to wait for their vehicles in service, where the comforts of home are steps away from service advisors and the shop.
The business center, along with WiFi and wired Internet connectivity, makes it easy to focus on work projects or research, while an enclosed play area for children and a living room type setting with satellite television provide armchair comfort.
For those who prefer something in between, tall tables and chairs are close at hand, as is free coffee, juice and bottled water.
Service advisors in an adjoining room can provide quick updates on vehicle status. Cashiers help keep track of rush jobs for customers, as well. “It’s about visibility, and it’s more personal,” said Dale Hummel, director of fixed operations. Customers with questions can easily pick out service employees, with their white VW shirts.
Whether it’s a quick nap, a lunch break or a news update, service customers can find what they need.
